About me - English
Hello, everyone! :) My name is Karla and I'm 23 years old. I have a double major in Russian language and literature and French language and literature. Soon, I'll finish my studies and gradute in March! I love learning languages and passing on and sharing my knowledge to other people. I'm a big fan of literature and in my free time I love to read and write as well as spend time with my friends and travel. I speak fluently English, French, Russian, Croatian, Bosnian and Serbian (Serbo-Croatian). Qualifications & Experience
Soon enough, I'll get my bachelor's degree in Russian language and literature and French language and literature from University of Zadar, Croatia. I spent one years studying abroad in France where I could practice my French but also Russian and English since I met a lot of people from all around the world. I gave private classes in person in Croatian and English for the kids and students. During that period, I practiced the best way to approach the kids as well as adults in a fun and interesting way.
At university, we devoted ourselves to the method and exercise of how to transfer knowledge of Russian and French to beginners. I won the award for the best student in French language and literature at my university for the academic year 2020/2021 as well as a few awards in Russian as a foreign language in the competitions in Russia where I gained the 1st place in 2022 and the 2nd place in 2023 among more than 8000 participants. I got the 3rd place in the Russian Olympiad in Croatia and as well I participated in Russian classes from Russian universities where I had an opportunity to talk to native speakers. I've been learning English since I was 7 years old and I'm using it every day. I took many English classes and had to express myself and develop my own ideas and opinions. I'm a native speaker of Croatian, Bosnian and Serbian (Serbo-Croatian).
Teaching Approach
I'll approach each student in the way that is the most convenient to them. We will have different materials, books, PowerPoint presentations where I'll be able to explain the language in terms of grammar and meaning of words. Besides this, small conversations and practice of the language will be the priority as well.
